Dean Ippolito, 19, makes his home in Boonton Township, N.J. Dean's numerous scholastic chess accomplishments include first place finishes at the 1994 U.S. Cadet Championship, 1994 Denker Tournament of High School Champions, and 1996 National High School Championship. He is a 10-time member of the Pressman All-America Team. Dean was recently awarded the prestigious Samford Chess Scholarship, by Chess-in-the-Schools, in New York City. He is pursuing a career as a professional chessplayer.
