He has won numerous scholastic titles, including 1990 New Jersey Elementary Champion, 1993 National Junior High Co-champion, 1994 National 11th Grade Champion, 1995 National 12th Grade Champion, and 1997 US Junior Open Champion. In 1996,
Woody received the National Scholar-Chessplayer Award. He attends Harvard University. Woody's interests include table tennis, music trivia, and biology, and he serves as the Secretary for the Harvard Black Men's Forum.
