John Viloria 1998 Interplay US Junior Championship Invitational Rating 2350. John Viloria, 20, hails from Yonkers, N.Y. John attends the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and he is an active member of the MIT Chess Club. He has had multiple medal finishes at the FIDE World Youth Championships (Under 10: first place in 1987 & 1988; Under 12: second place in 1989 & 1990). John's interests include computer programming, all types of sports, and video games.

The US Chess Federation is the official sanctioning body for tournament chess in the United States, and for US participation in international chess events. It has over 80,000 members. In addition to rating tournaments, the USCF supports and promotes chess activities in scholastics and correspondence chess. The USCF publishes two national magazines, CHESS LIFE and SCHOOLMATES (for children).
