Leading chess organizer Bill Goichberg, head of the Continental Chess Association (CCA), will join the USCF national office in New Windsor, N.Y. as an unpaid volunteer for the next few months.

Goichberg is expected to be in the office several days a week, as his other duties permit, helping in the ratings department and in other areas where his expertise is needed.

Paul Truong, who has been filling in since mid-August on a volunteer basis as Director of Marketing and Public Relations, is returning to his personal business and chess promotion activities. The USCF thanks Paul for his services and wishes him well.

The United States Chess Federation, founded in 1939, serves as the governing body for chess in the United States and is devoted to extending the role of chess in American society. It promotes the study and knowledge of the game of chess, for its own sake as an art and enjoyment, and as a means for the improvement of society.
