USCF National K12/Collegiate Chess Championship Coming To Rosemont, IL

The United States Chess Federation (USCF) will hold the 2003 National K12/Collegiate Chess Championship at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare, Rosemont, Illinois on December 12-14, 2003. The USCF expects over 2000 young chess enthusiasts from all across the nation to compete.

Grandmaster Susan Polgar and Women's Grandmaster Alexandria Kosteniuk will both attend the event. Each will simultaneously hold a chess exhibition Friday at 9am. GM Polgar will hold an autograph session Friday at 5pm and WGM Kosteniuk will hold an autograph session Saturday, 5pm in the USCF Bookstore located in the GrandBallroom C at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare.

Balmain Swiss Watches will be sponsoring WGM Alexandra Kosteniuk who will be giving out various prizes including Balmain Swiss Watches at her simultaneous exhibition!

For the first time ever at this event a collegiate section has been added as well as a side-event for Parents to show off their chess abilities and compete for prizes!

At the awards ceremony, Sunday evening 4:30pm, Majestic Chess (Fluent Entertainment), sponsor for the 2004 Majestic Chess All America Team, will award team jackets to all team members who are present.
