The U.S. Chess Federation is scheduling a series of scholastic seminars to promote professional development for chess teachers and chess coaches.
The two-day seminars will be held at seven locations in the summer of 1997.
The seminars will be open to teachers, administrators, and school officials (including para-professionals), as well as all players holding USCF ratings of 1600 (Class B) and above. The focus of the programs will be on providing quality, skill-based training for those who want to teach and promote chess within the scholastic community.
