August 22 - September 12. Three Stages.
- Stage 1: Division play. A 7 game round-robin will decide which two players advance from each division. Games at 3:30 PM Local Time (-7 GMT Phoenix) on August 23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 30, and 31. Christiansen and Benjamin advance from Division 1; Kaidanov and Seirawan advance from Division 2.
- Stage 2: Semi-Finals: head to head challenge in a mini-match of four games to determine the Semi-final Winners. Players will be cross-paired from the two Divisions. Games at 3:30 PM Local Time on Sept. 3, 4, 5, and at 12:30 local time on Sept. 6*.
- Stage 3: Finals. The two Semi-Final Winners square off in a six game contest for the national title and the championship ring. 3:30 PM Local Time on Sept. 7, 8, 9, 10, 11*, and 12*.
