Semi-finals: September 2-6, 1999
With the draws on Sunday both matches go into overtime playoffs. On Monday the 6th each match will consist of two Game in 25 minute (with a 10 second increment) games. In the event the score is still tied two games will be played at G/10 (plus 10 seconds per move). In the event there is still no winner play will drop to 5 minutes per game with 5 seconds increment per move. Always 2 game matches are played. As with the World Championships the arbiter has the option of declaring a 6 to 5 minute game with black having draw odds.
Today's game of Seirawan was interesting primarily for the players missing that 22. Qh4 wins.
