Grandmaster Bisguier's Commentary

White develops his g1-knight on it's most natural square and supports his center. Karpov stays away from the Exchange Variation (4.cxd5 Nxd5 5. e4 Nxc3 6. bxc3) which he used in his match with Kasparov in 1990. Presumably Karpov feels that Kamsky is very familiar with those games.
