With this move Black intiates the Gruenfeld Defense which combines the ideas of both the Classical and (Hyper)modern schools. Despite his loss in game one with this opening, Kamsky returns to it because it usually provides more dynamic chances than the Nimzo/Queen's Indian Defenses.
