 Denker Tournament of HS Champions, 1999

The winners of the Denker Tournament of High School Champions were Andrei Zaremba and Steven Winer with scores of 4 1/2 - 1/2. 3rd was Patrick Hummel.

Patrick was #1 seed in tournament but was upset in round 2 by Pascal Openshaw. 4th place was a 5-way tie between Martinez, Vinay Bhat, David C. John, Joan Santana and Riley Yates-Doerr (A Denker record of 3 girls competed in this event).

The 5-round Swiss event was played at the 100th US Open held at the Sands Regency Hotel in Reno, Nevada. Congratulations to all participants and winners!
