Grandmasters Giorgi Kacheishvili, Alexander Shabalov, Aleksandr Lenderman and Sergey Kudrin tied for first
at the National Chess Congress in Philadelphia with 5/6 each. This netted each of them $1400 with Kudrin taking home a $100 bonus for having the best tiebreaks. In round four Kudrin pulled ahead with a crucial victory over Kacheishvili. 5079 In round five, Kudrin drew against Shabalov while Kacheishvilli and Lenderman both won.
