Chess Amateur Jason Smiles explores his first ever chess tournament, the World Amateur Team Championship aka US Amateur Team East in Parsippany, New Jersey. Jason met and talked with many top players including GM Robert Hess, GM Leonid Yudasin of ChessMates NJ, FIDE Senior Trainer Michael Khodarkovsky of the Kasparov Chess Foundation, NM Laura Ross, NM Chris Williams and IM Mikhail Zlotnikov of the winning team, West Orange Krush (other team members included Peter Radomskyj, Jose Fernandez and Victor Rosas).
