I passed over this event entirely during my own scholastic chess career
in lieu of the bigger events and now I find regret in doing so. " Don't miss out on a great opportunity to fight for a National title! The K-12 National Championships (Dallas, Nov.18-20) will crown individual champions from Kindergarten up to 12th grade. For a reduced entry fee, register online by October 30th. To take advantage of special room rates at the Hilton Anatole, reserve by November 2nd at the Hilton K-12 National Championship link. Adults interested in chess will find plenty to do as well: There's a parents and friends tourney on Saturday November 18th while the second International Koltanowski conference on chess and education takes place from November 18-19.
