Congress in Philly, GM Alexander Ivanov took first on tiebreak over IM Leonid Gerzhoy, GM Giorgi Kachieshvili. See full NCC crosstables on MSA. At the
American Open, GM Varuzhan Akobian took clear first while GM Alexander Shabalov won the Saint Louis Thanksgiving Open (MSA) at the CCSCSL.
