The World Cities Team Championship is scheduled for Dec 22 through Dec 29, 2012 in Al-Ain, United Arab Emirates.

24 teams will compete in a preliminary qualifier followed by an elimination style team competition for a total prize fund of $150,000.

The US team will consist of:

Board 1 - GM Varuzhan Akobian
Board 2 - GM Jaan Ehlvest
Board 3 - GM-elect Robert Hungaski
Board 4 - GM Ben Finegold
