Hikaru Nakamura, the #1 rated player in the US and #6 ranked player in the World, had a fine performance at Norway Chess, tying for second with Magnus Carlsen, a half point behind tournament winner Sergei Karjakin.

At the same time, GM Nakamura was also following the US Chess Championships and found time to acknowledge our new US Chess Champion, Gata Kamsky.
He also spoke highly of the Norway tournament.
