 The Denker tournament of high school champions, the Barber tournament of K-8 champs and the National Girls Invitational will coincide with the US Open (Phoenix, August 1-9). The trio of events will bring together
some of the most talented players in the US Chess Federation. Visit the following sites (denkerchess.com, barberchess.com and ngitchess.com)
to see who will be representing your state affiliate. This year five state affiliates will receive a special recognition plaque at the Opening Ceremony for their thirty years of perfect attendance in the GM Arnold Denker Tournament of High School Champions. US Chess would like to thank New Jersey, Illinois, New Mexico, Pennsylvania and Florida for their continuing support of the Denker and the two other invitational events. |
