Sevian Earns Final IM Norm in Metropolitan Invitational

GM Melikset Khachiyan and World Under 12 Champion Samuel Sevian tied for first at the 23rd Metropolitan Chess Invitational with 6/9. Sevian earned his final IM norm at the Grandmaster norm round robin tournament held from December 19th to December 23rd, 2012, narrowly missing the GM norm by half a point. He also won almost 50 USCF rating points at the event. 6623 The tournament was held in Suite C855 of the California Market Center on 110 East 9th Street, Los Angeles 90079.
