The historic Earth versus Space match ended after Dr. Greg Chamitoff sent in his last move, 46. Kxa2 and resigns.
With the unanimous choice of the dominating 43...Bb3, Stevenson's stars initiated a forced sequence winning Greg's knight. Several moves quickly followed. Now, the dust is clearing... 
.. is that your brains may fall out.
Unlike the famous comedy routine, there are no horses "neck and neck,"
coming down the home stretch in this two-horse race. Still, the kids
from Stevenson Elementary are divided as to how to proceed. Should
they hug the rail or move to the outside? The choice is now up to
Earthlings.
Our wizards from Washington have chosen 39 ... Ke6 as the only path to follow and NASA's Greg Chamitoff has immediately responded with 40. Nc2. It is once again time for the Stevenson Elementary School Chess Club to come up with choices for Earth to consider.
