A couple of months ago, GM Pal Benko sent me the best present I've received for my birthday, these twin compositions in "J" and "S". Letter problems are some of my favorites, because I love watching how the lines of various letters morph with the movements of chess pieces.
Removing letters from their natural habitat (words) appeals so much to me that I once underwent a 26-day long diet in which I ate only foods that started with "A" on day 1, and on to the hardest days, X and Z.
