Donald F. Wojciechowski, 63, of La Salle died at 6 a.m., July 5, 2007, in his residence following an extended illness.

            Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Burgess Funeral Home, La Salle.  A Mass will be at 10 a.m. in St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, La Salle. The Rev. Robert Rayson will officiate.  Burial will be at St. Hyacinth Cemetery, La Salle.

            Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home, with a Scripture service at 5 p.m. Monday.  Knights of Columbus will recite the rosary at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

            He was born August 25, 1943, in La Salle to Bernard and Mary (Gasiciel) Wojciechowski.  He married Joyce McCabe on July 26, 1969 in St. Patrick’s Church.

            He worked as a teacher at La Salle-Peru Township High School for more than 30 years. He was a member of St. Hyacinth Church, St. Stephen’s Society, Calvert Council Knights of Columbus 792, a lifetime member of U.S. Chess Federation, Federation of Teachers and Rivercity Ski Club.

            Survivors are his wife; one daughter, Sheila Wojciechowski of LaGrange Park; one son, Timothy Wojciechowski of Peru; one brother, Roger (Carol) Huski of Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents.
