Edward E. Hendrix (1935-2011)

Edward Earl Hendrix, a former USCF member from Manchester, Tennessee, died at home on Jan. 6, 2011. He was 75.

He was born Dec. 29, 1935 in Knoxville, Tennessee, the son of Reynard and Mildred (Garrison) Hendrix, and had lived all his life in the Volunteer State. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Besides chess, he loved computers and playing bridge. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, D. Inez Hendrix; a daughter, Annette Rene Hendrix Powers of Manchester; three granddaughters, a sister, and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
