New York, NY, Feb. 11, 2015 - The Kasparov Chess Foundation (KCF) held
its annual board meeting on Friday, February 6th, in New York City. KCF's Chairman and former World Champion, Garry
Kasparov, welcomed J. Christopher Flowers to join the board of directors. Mr. Flowers is an American private equity investor and investment manager focused on the financial services industry. He is the chairman of J. C. Flowers & Co. A graduate of Harvard University, Mr. Flowers worked at Goldman Sachs for 19 years and was named partner in 1988. Mr. Flowers founded J.C. Flowers & Co. in 1998. According to KCF's President, Michael Khodarkovsky, the Foundation is delighted to have such an esteemed executive to be part of the Board. "We believe that Mr. Flowers will be a tremendous asset in furthering the Foundation's mission to spread chess programs throughout the U.S. and the world," added M. Khodarkovsky.
