New York, NY, Jan. 24, 2011 -- Kasparov Chess Foundation today announced its 2011 Scholastic Championships Series, spanning across major metropolitan areas of the nation. The Foundation Chairman and former World Chess Champion, Garry Kasparov, will be signing his latest books and giving encouragement to all players at the Greater New York Championships at the New Yorker Hotel. The Foundation is organizing these events in conjunction with local chess organizations in each region, including Chess Center of New York, ChessPRO, and University of Maryland Baltimore County, and Renaissance Knights.
