( Chess battles between 24 college teams, including Harvard, Yale, University of Toronto, Catholic University of Peru, Miami Dade, University of Texas at Dallas, UMBC, Duke and University of Virginia began December 27 at the Renaissance Hotel in Washington, DC and will conclude December 30. The top four teams from the 2006 Pan-Am will go on to face each other in the Final Four of College Chess to be held March 24 and 25, 2007 in Dallas.
