(Crossville, TN) The 23rd Annual Denker Tournament of High School Champions took place at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill, NJ from July 29 to August 3.  This event was founded by GM Arnold Denker to provide an opportunity for the best high school players from each state to meet and compete. This years event broke a record with 51 participants! Since GM Arnold Denker passing in 2005 his son Mitchell continues "Arnie's" wishes to continue this event which first began in 1985.

Warren Harper, rated 2300 of Texas, took clear first with a 5.5 out of 6 point score. Harper not only wins the title of 2007 Denker Tournament of High School Champion but also receives a full, four year scholarship to Texas Tech University.
