Indiana State Chess Association Vice President Tom Harris passed on Tuesday, June 8, 2004.

Tom passed away at home, and the injuries combined with a serious heart condition and Parkinson's disease, caused his death at 3 a.m.

Tom was one of the main contributors to Indiana chess in the last 25 years, both as an Expert and Class A player and as a tournament organizer, ISCA officer, and State Delegate to USCF.

He was someone e culd always count on to participate and contribute, always constructive and cheerful.
