The American girls also made a statement as the Eswaran sisters, Ashritha Eswaran won the silver medal in the U-12 Girls while her sister who is only 6-years and one month old Aksithi Eswaran won the bronze medal.  Also, Chenyi Zhao in the U-10 girls won the silver medal.

All the medal winners are from California while four of the five players are part of Ted Castro’s chess program in the bay area. Ted Castro has made a name for his program as his students are reaping international recognition.

We thank the parents for their trust as well as for the USCF’s cooperation in allowing yours truly to assemble the team.
