In a stunning turn of events at the London Candidates (March 14-April 2), Russian GM and former World Champion Vladimir Kramnik overtakes the lead with a win over Levon Aronian, while favorite and the top ranked player in the World Magnus Carlsen lost to Vassily Ivanchuk. 6727 6726 This gives Kramnik a half point lead over Carlsen.
