The Schein - Friedman scholastic recognition project is organizing it's tuition-free summer camp, to be held in Glendale, CA (right near LA) under the instruction of IM and FST Armen Ambartsoumian. Armen has been the first head coach of the national Armenian team, and after his move to the US has been a regular coach for the US youth team in world events. Attending a camp under his tutelage is a real treat to anyone seeking improvement! The camp is designed for campers ages 9-14, with ratings of 2000 and up.
In lieu of previous personal invites, this time around we are inviting interested potential campers to approach us, and apply for the camp. So if you qualify under the criteria, and are interested in attending, please write to the address below. The selection process will be a mix of how soon one applies, and how matching one is to the majority of the other applicants. There's limited space, so if interested, sooner is better than later! Camp date change! In order to avoid a clash with the Pacific Coast Open and the Barber tournament, the dates for the tuition-free, Schein - Friedman camp in Glendale, CA have changed to July 21-24 (instead of July 19-23). The camp is shaping up to best fit campers ages 10-15, 2100 and above. Interested potential campers should email: Aviv Friedman at [email protected] |
