GM Irina Krush, the highest rated U.S. active female player will be a special guest at the 2014 National K-12 Grades Chess Championships.

Irina will do a 30-board simul on Friday morning, at 9 AM, before the main event kicks off.  Later that day, starting at 2:30 PM, she will be available for a “take-on-all-comers” Blitz where players can sit down and play 5-minute games with her.  On Saturday at 4:30 PM, Irina will give a lecture.  After the lecture, she will be available for a group Questions-and-Answers (Q&A) session.

The National K-12 Grades Chess Championships will take place at the beautiful facilities of the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida, 12 – 14 December.  The day before the main event begins, on Thursday 11 December, the Blitz and Bughouse Championships will take place.  For information and registration, including registration for the simul by GM Krush, please visit http://www.uschess.org/tournaments/2014/k12/
