Jeevan350.jpgThe National K-12 Championships are underway in Orlando, Florida from December 12-14. Top seeds include Josh Colas and Justus Williams in the 11th grade and Jeevan Karamsetty in the 12th grade. See a CLO interview with Jeevan, also a Chess Scholar award winner, on balancing chess and academics. "It’s really important to stay focused on school while also pursuing your passion for chess...but if you truly love to do something, you will find time to pursue it."

Follow pairings and standings here and look for a report from the scene from guest of honor GM Irina Krush. Also be sure to set aside time to watch the Play Magnus Chess.com simul on Sunday at 1 PM EST.
