American Grandmasters Varuzhan Akobian and Alexander Ivanov tied for first with three others in the Continental Championships (July 10-20 Cali, Colombia) Peruvian legend Julio Granda Zuniga took the title on tiebreak. In the last round, all the top boards were drawn. The top five took home $5500 each.
