13-year-old Ray Robson thrilled his fans by winning the Miami Open (Sept 10-14.) The only thing to stop him from claiming clear first, without a tiebreak, was the following last round loss to GM Darmen Sadvakasov.

After f5, Qxf5 was losing in view of Nxg2, the game continuation.

Ray rebounded in the Armageddon tiebreaker, winning this exciting game with White.

Ray ended up winning on time, but the position is difficult for Black. Instead of 36.Qd4+, Ray could have won instantly on move 36, with Qc3+!, eyeing c8. However, it was just a seven minutes to five minutes game, so we probably shouldn't overanalyze!
