GM Giorgi Kacheishvili took the clear lead with 6/7 at the Chicago Open with his Sunday night win over Evgeny Najer.

Today Giorgi plays GM Loek Van Wely, who is a half point behind along with six others: GM Varuzhan Akobian, Sedlak, GM Jaan Ehlvest, GM Timur Gareyev, GM Melikset Khachiyan and IM Sam Shankland.
