In round seven of the 2010 Olympiad in Khanty-Mansiysk, the USA-Poland match saw a isolated queen-pawn theme. It started with Alex Onischuk scoring a quick win over Macieja on the White side of the Nimzo. Unfortunately, Hikaru Nakamura's Panov Attack (vs. the Caro Kann) did not go as smoothly, and after a sharp counter-attack he lost for the first time in the Olympiad. Draws by Shulman and Kamsky brought the tally to 2-2. 4899 4901 The women rebounded from yesterday's disappointment with a big win over Armenia. Krush, Abrahamyan and Baginskaite drew while Zatonskih reeled in a big win with Black. 4900 Tomorrow (Wednesday) the men will play China while the women face Russia 2.
