AwonderSlide.jpgThe US delegation arrived in Maribor, Slovenia for the World Youth Championship (November 7-12). 89 players are waving the US flag including last year's Under 8 gold medalist Awonder Liang, now playing in the Under 10. maribor_n3.jpgCoaches of the huge delegation include GMs Ben Finegold (see his blog on arriving in Maribor), Joel Benjamin, Nick De Firmian, John Fedorowicz, Alejandro Ramirez, Gennady Zaitchik, Sam Palatnik, FM Aviv Friedman, IMs Armen Ambartsoumian, Andranik Matikozyan, John Bartholomew & Jan van de Mortel as well as head of delegation and FIDE Senior trainer Michael Khodarkovsky.
