 Anna Zatonskih and Irina Krush advanced to round two of the Women's
World Championship in Khanty-Mansiysk. Zatonskih made it through with a 1.5-0.5 win in the two-game classical match. Irina's match against Ruofan Li was tied in classical and Irina advanced in the blitz rounds. Correction: An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated that Irina won in Armageddon playoff.
Tatev Abrahamyan was eliminated by Miami resident and former Women's World Champion Alexandra Kosteniuk.
6556 6559 6557 In the first game round two, Anna Zatonskih drew with Wenjun Ju from China while Irina Krush lost to GM Pia Cramling of Sweden.
