 GMs Hikaru Nakamura and Fabiano Caruana are in France for
the Cap D'Agde rapid (October 26-November 1). The star studded field also includes GMs Magnus Carlsen, Teimour Radjabov, Bu Xiangzhi, Ivan Cheparinov, Anatoly Karpov, six top woman players including World Women's Champion Alexandra Kosteniuk and GMs Humpy Koneru, Kateryna Lahno, GM-elect Hou Yifan, Marie Sebag and French IM Almira Skripchenko. Rounding out the field are French GMs Maxime Vachier Lagrave (#4 seed) and Sebastien Feller. The top four from each group qualify to the semifinals. After four rounds of the rapid qualifier, Hikaru has 2.5/4 and Fabiano has 3.5/4 so both have good chances to advance to the playoffs.
