With just a round to go in the World Youth in Vung Tau, Vietnam , Sam Shankland and Darwin Yang have good chances to take home medals--if they win tonight (tomorrow morning in Vietnam). Sam has 7/10 in the Boys Under 18 and in the final round, will face GM  Le Quang Liem of Vietnam with White on board two. Darwin Yang is ranked fourth going into the final round and plays with White on board three against Indian FM Koushik A.Girish. Wins for Darwin and Sam will give each good chances for medals, although it depends on other results and tiebreaks. After a disappointing pair of losses in round 5 and 6, Sam has been on a real tear, winning 3.5/4 out of the last four. He now holds a performance rating of 2500+. Here is the seventh round game that launched Sam onto his warpath.

Check out the pgn link and the entire results and last round pairings of the American team here. Also performing great are Simone Liao and Jonathan Chiang with 7/10 but due to huge scores at the top, neither seem to have medal chances. Check CLO and chessresults.com to see how Darwin and Sam did--you can also watch Shankland's game live. (They only broadcast live the top two boards in each section.)
