Alexei Shirov defeated Sergey Karjakin in the World Cup semifinals tiebreaker, so Shirov advances to meet Gata Kamsky in the four-game final, which begins on Thursday at 5 AM EST. Here is Shirov's win against Karjakin with White in the second rapid game: 1480 If Gata wins against Shirov in the finals, he will win the 1st prize of 120,000$ and play Topalov in a match in 2008.
