USCF News: Calling All State Champions: If you are a state champion or an organizer of a state Championship, please contact Walter Brown at USCF, [email protected] to register for the State Champions of Champions event, which will be hosted on ICC this spring. The winner of the State Champion of Champions event will get a ticket into the 2010 US Championship set for Saint Louis, May 13-25. Reminder to College Chess Players and Girls: In conjunction with the Denker Tournament of High School Champions and the US Open in Irvine, California (July 31-August 8), one brand new event will be held, the 2010 U.S. Girls Junior Open Championship (July 31-August 3). The third annual Tournament of College Champions (July 31-August 3) will also kick off, and if you're a college student, don't miss it. University of Texas at Dallas Chess program director Jim Stallings said, "The WCL Tournament of College Champions is an emerging tournament of great strength that recognizes the top individual college player in the United States. It is hotly contested each year, and this year will be no different.
