After dominating the preliminary stage 6.5/7, GM Hikaru Nakamura won 2-0 in his quarterfinals match against Jon Ludvig Hammer in the Cap D'Agde, France rapid competition from October 22-31. On twitter, GMHikaru (perhaps joking) wrote that he could have done better in the prelims: "6.5/7 in the prelim stage. Not great, but it'll do. Now onto the quarterfinals and time to crush Hammer."
