The event was organized by the World Vision chapter of Georgia Tech, headed up by co-presidents Nicola Yu and Yuhan Xiao. They were so impressed with the activity that they plan to do it again next year. The event was sponsored by Martin Grund of Internet Chess Club and Frank Johnson of Chess-Coach.Net.
A day after the simul, Deepak returned home for Spring Break and competed in the Eastern Class Championship (see the CLO report here) . He had a strong showing against GMs to tie for second place.
