The World Women's Team Championship kicked off with an Opening Ceremony on September 1 in Ningbo China. Team members Irina Krush, Anna Zatonskih, Rusudan Goletiani, Tatev Abrahamyan, Alisa Melekhina and coach Gregory Kaidanov all arrived safely, according to team captain Michael Khodarkovsky, "Everybody came on-time, tired, but in a good mood." The games go from Sept.2-13 and begin at 2:30 EST in China, the middle of the night in USA. At the opening ceremony, the first board of each team was invited on stage to pick a traditional Chinese toy, which contained a hidden number. Irina picked the toy with number 10, giving Poland in the first round, with Black on boards 1 and 3.

Update: In round one, USA lost to Poland 1.5-2.5 with boards 2-4 drawn and Irina Krush losing to Iweta Rajlich. For all games, see the official website (In Chinese, but it's easy to find the games!)
